Three steps, ten seconds
Capture
Grab an area, a window, or the full screen with a keyboard shortcut.
Pin & comment
Drop numbered pins where it matters. Tellshot reads the on-screen text and UI around each pin, so your feedback carries context.
Copy & paste
One click copies the image plus structured text from your template — ready for ChatGPT, Claude, issues, or chat.
Paste it. AI gets it.
What lands in the chat isn't just an image. Every pin carries the on-screen text and UI structure around it — so AI, or a teammate, knows exactly which button you mean. No retyping, no “the blue one, top right”.
You, ten seconds from now
“Fix this button” — and it actually gets fixed
Screenshot your UI, pin what's wrong, paste into Claude or ChatGPT. The context travels with it, so the first answer is the right one.
Repro reports your devs will love
Numbered pins, on-screen labels, and page info — exported in your tracker's format. No more “which dropdown do you mean?”
Feedback that lands on the pixel
Skip the paragraph of prose. Pin, comment, and collect the whole review into one document your client can actually open.
Built for telling, not just showing
Pins that carry context
Drop numbered pins where it matters and write a comment for each. Tellshot reads the on-screen text and UI around every pin via OCR and accessibility info — your “#1: make this button stand out” arrives with the button's actual label.
Arrows, boxes, text — and privacy blur
Point precisely with arrows and boxes, add text labels, and hide anything sensitive with blur or solid masks before sharing. Everything stays editable until you copy.
Copy exactly what your workflow needs
One click copies the image plus structured text shaped by your template — an AI prompt for ChatGPT or Claude, a bug report for your tracker, design feedback for your team. Fully customizable.
Catches sensitive info before you share
Tellshot scans your screenshot for emails, API keys, and other sensitive text — and offers one-click hiding before anything leaves your editor.
From screenshots to a fix-request document
Collect multiple screenshots into a single review document, reorder pages, and export the whole thing as PDF or PPTX — ready to hand to your team or client.

FAQ
Which Macs are supported?
macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on Apple silicon and Intel.
Why does Tellshot need screen-recording permission?
That's how macOS lets apps capture the screen. Tellshot uses it only at the moment you take a screenshot — nothing is recorded in the background.
Is it really free?
The beta is free. A paid license is planned for the 1.0 release — beta feedback shapes what it becomes.
What data does Tellshot collect?
None of your images or text. Optional, anonymized crash reports help us fix bugs — you can turn them off in Settings. See the privacy policy for details.
